Now-1/19: Disney on Ice Presents: Let’s Celebrate- Quicken Loans Arena, Historic Gateway District, Downtown
Most likely the kids are back in school and they too are itching for that vacation time back. Quell that fidgeting by taking them to see Disney on Ice Presents: Let’s Celebrate. It is one colossal party on ice with all your Disney friends. Hang out with Disney villains on a Halloween hunt and enjoy celebrating a Very Merry Unbirthday Party. Bring the kids to enjoy this magic medley of holidays, celebrations and festivals from around the globe.
1/10: Cuyahoga Valley National Park Lantern Hike- Ledges Shelter, Peninsula
It might be cold and snowy, but that is when the parks can be the most beautiful. By lantern light they are even prettier and even a bit mysterious. Experience what the trees and underbrush look like by the glow of a lantern as you join the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Lantern Hikes. Take a 2.2-mile hike along the hilly unpaved Ledges Trail, and afterward, warm up by a roaring campfire with a nice cup of hot chocolate.
1/12: Elvis Birthday Tribute – State Theatre, PlayhouseSquare, Downtown
Did you grow up watching Elvis take over the music scene with his swaying hips? Or, are you just a huge fan of “The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll?” On Jan. 8, it is Elvis’s 79th Birthday and, of course, you need to celebrate it in style. Join the Elvis Recreators at the State Theatre for an Elvis Birthday Tribute. The concert covers the four main eras of Elvis Presley’s musical history. With songs from the “Rock-A-Billy Elvis Years” to the “Las Vegas Jumpsuit Years,” there is no better way to celebrate the King’s birthday.
