Then, on Sunday, head over to Public Square to cheer on the runners at the Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ Marathon and listen to international recording artist Gavin DeGraw perform a post-race concert. Afterward, make your way over to Vermillion to celebrate the winter weather prediction power of the woollybears at the uniquely Cleveland Woollybear Festival.

10/5, The Fall Foundry – Voinovich Park, Downtown Cleveland

Looking for a way to celebrate the change of season? This Saturday (10/5), from 1pm to 4pm, head to Downtown Cleveland’s Voinovich Park at the North Coast Harbor for The Fall Foundry, presented by Downtown Cleveland Alliance and North Coast Harbor. This fall-themed event offers numerous children’s activities which include the Kids “Monster Dash” fun run, a pumpkin patch and even costume contests. At 2:30pm, set up your own blanket or chair so you can sit lakeside and listen to seasonal music from the Cleveland POPs Orchestra. Parking will be available at Dock 32 and in the surrounding lots or the RTA L-Line trolley is available at Public Square for a free ride to the lakefront. For more information, visit

10/6, Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ Marathon – E. 9th St. and Erieside Avenue + Public Square, Downtown Cleveland

This Sunday (10/6), cheer on runners participating in the Cleveland Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ Marathon. Runners start at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum on E. 9th Street and Erieside Avenue. After the race, head over to Finish Village at Public Square where runners and spectators can enjoy the beer garden and performances by international recording artist Gavin DeGraw, Beatles cover band, Hard Day’s Night and more on the doorstep of the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino. 10/6, Woollybear Festival – Victory Park, Vermillion

Sunday afternoon (10/6), attend the Wollybear Festival at Victory Park in Vermillion, the largest one-day festival in the state of Ohio.  Fox 8 Meteorologist Dick Goddard hosts the day of fun-filled events ranging from the World’s Greatest Kid’s Race, the Woollybear 500 Caterpillar Race hosted by Big Chuck and Little John, Woollybear costume contests, the Wonderful Wacky Woollybear Parade, an exotic animal show and the Official Woollybear Winter Weather Prediction.
