Summer Festival Series – June Festivals
June 14-15 – Cleveland Wine Festival: Voinovich Park
Guests are able to choose from more than 350 wines from around the world to sample at the Cleveland Wine Festival held in Voinovich Park Downtown. The festival features wine seminars, cooking demonstrations and live music.
June 14-16 – Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival: Veteran’s Memorial Park in Avon
The Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival is a three-day event celebrating America’s favorite “fix-it tool” duct tape, along with its wacky and fun uses. Parade floats made almost entirely of duct tape battle for the “Tip Top Tape” award while visitors explore fashion (think matching formal wear) art exhibits crafted from the colorful versions of the product. Throughout the festival, families can stick together at the hands-on games and crafts table where they can create duct tape roses, jewelry and more.
June 15 – The Clifton Arts and Musicfest: Cudell/Edgewater neighborhood
The Clifton Arts and Musicfest was established as a unique celebration combining fine arts and live musical performances – a true street festival located in a very attractive and vibrant urban neighborhood setting. As a juried art competition, only the finest artisans from Ohio and around the United States are admitted to the show.
June 20-22 – Ohio Scottish Games: Lorain County Fairgrounds
The Ohio Scottish Games highlight the traditions of dance, music and athletics of the ancient Highland Games. From games of strength and the kilted mile to musical competitions and animal showcases, the weekend is a not-to-miss cultural experience.
June 22 – Summer Solstice Festival: Cleveland Museum of Art
Celebrating its fifth year, one of Cleveland’s most trendy summer music festival is held at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Summer Solstice offers visitors the chance to see the new North Wing galleries which are part of the massive $350 million expansion of the museum expected to be complete by the end of this year. This year’s event features two stages, one inside the stunning atrium with DJ’s spinning music and an outdoor stage featuring innovative performers in a variety of musical styles.
