The Olive and The Grape: Celebrating the Foods and Lifestyle of the Mediterranean

Looking for high quality olive oils, all natural seasonings and other Mediterranean cooking ingredients? Try The Olive and The Grape. With three locations, The Olive and The Grape is easily accessible from anywhere in Cleveland. They recently opened a new location in Tower City Center, near Positively Cleveland’s offices. The owner invited us in for a personal look around this very unique store that “celebrates the foods and lifestyle of the Mediterranean” by providing top-of-the-line products and educating customers on the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle.

Included in their offerings are more than 30 olive and grapeseed oils (seasoned and unseasoned), more than ten gourmet vinegars, 30 sea salts, approximately 100 all-natural seasonings and a variety of pasta. Products can be purchased separately or in sampler sets (this makes it easy to learn how to whip up some yummy stuff!). They’ll even customize.

The Olive and The Grape locations include a specialty food store in Mentor, a stand at the Westside Market on the near west side of Cleveland and, as noted earlier, a storefront in Tower City Center. Be sure to take advantage of suggestions and recipes provided by the owner of this lovely little shop. Last year I wandered into the Olive and the Grape store in tower city, I was intrigued with the selection of sea salts and the various combination of herbs offered. I purchases abouit $30.00 worth of items including a sardinian sea salt infused with aomatic herbs. The name on the jar is Sale Aromatissato alle Erbe. I returned last March and asked for the product. The owner stated that she would order it for me. I called a few weeks later and she said she received it but it would take another few days to be available at the Kams Corner location. I called again on a Friday and she stated that I could stop in on Saturday. I came in and the sales person said she could not locate the item. Then she called the owner and she came by and told me she had it at the Mentor location. She apologized and said she would make sure she mailed it on Monday. I paid for 3 of these jars which cost me $30.00. I NEVER RECEIVED THESE ITEMS AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS AND PROMISES BY THE SALES WOMEN AND OWNER. i BASICALLY WAS SCAMMED OUT OF MY MONEY. BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS BUSINESS.
